Getting through Googles wall

May 15th, 2007

You have been working on your website for quite sometime now and trying to place it ahead of the other sites in your category. Someday you have success and the next day you don’t. The reason can be varied. First and foremost if you want to get through Google’s wall, you need to have a highly optimized website. Optimization in terms of the keywords that you use, the technology used (try avoiding technologies like Flash), and try to avoid iframes. Sometimes all these in combination can work really well to get you a higher ranking not only on Google but on other search engines as well.

Ensure that all the pages can be reached using a normal link from a homepage. If you have a Javascript menu on your home page, search engine robots may not be able to search the pages. You need to make sure that you link to the other pages of the site by using the standard links and not Javascript. Try to create a single menu system using cascading style sheets (CSS). You can probably break through Google’s wall by using these fundamentals of web design plus adding quality seo content to your site.

We offer these services to clean up sites and make them seo friendly because we understand many know what they are selling but don’t have time to fiddle with their site.
