Most of us have heard about Google Page Rank and it’s importance but have we ever bothered to understand how it is calculated. If some one was to answer this question it is quite likely that each one would have a different opinion about this unique ranking system.
Google Page Rank is basically a trademark of Google. What is it, that makes this ranking system unique from the rest? Google uses a certain type of an algorithm, which is not known to any web user. However if you want to see a high page rank for your website you have to make sure to trade links with quality and important sites on the Internet or get 1 way links. Google gives importance to website that have a link placed on a top quality web page of some other site. Every back link that a website generates is basically counted as a vote by Google. If any of the website on the Internet was to add your link to their website it clearly states that your website is of utmost importance to them and thereby they have placed your valuable link on their website.
Google Page Rank states the importance of a web page for web users. So if any given website has a page rank of 4 or 7. It states the importance of the page on the Search engines.
If one was to calculate a page rank of any given website then you have to take into consideration inbound links from within the website and outbound links from other websites and you may end up comparing 5 different sites and not getting the same results.
Here is tip though, if you can get a link on high page rank site and focus on that instead of masses of links you will see your site generate a page rank from Google. Some of these methods can be in the form of Submitting to article directories or commenting on pages that are ranked very high. To comment takes time and not every site allows this or wants just a quick response. Do this in the right way by reading what they have and making an intelligent comment that makes sense and is unique on each site. There are other ways like social bookmarking Directories and more but the point is you need to spend time to build links and get a Google PageRank.
